Slingink began its life as a spin-off from an online fiction writing course and, although its members are writing in a range of fields, the element that brings everyone together is a desire to write.
The group, when at www.slingink.co.uk had more than 500 international registered members. So far over 70 have re-registered and although numbers are increasing, it aims to retain an informal and supportive atmosphere.
With a writers forum, facilities for peer critique and other scheduled activities, the group is effective both as a stimulus for writing and for a bit of understanding company in an otherwise solitary occupation.
Anyone who has an interest in writing, from beginners to accomplished professionals, is more than welcome to come and join the group.
